To open a bank account online, you need to be:

• 18 years or older and have a South African ID, and
• a South African citizen living in South Africa.

If you’re applying on the Standard Bank website, choose whether you want to open a MyMo Plus or MyMo Account, select “Tell me more” and then “Open account”.

To open a bank account on the Standard Bank App, you need to be:

• 16 years or older and have a South African ID, and
• a South African citizen living in South Africa.
